Are you stuck for what to do or see in Milan? This is the city of fashion, of art, of music, etc. There are thousands of things to do! You’ll never get bored of strolling through its streets and seeing its museums. You’ve probably heard about its incredible nights, about the bars and places close to the Navigli or about the nightclubs from the historic centre. Milan is in season all year: places are always full of people at all hours; young people usually get together for an aperitif, especially in summertime.

On May 13th a very special event in the city begins which will be repeated on May 27th and on June 13th. What is it about? This is a walk through the world of art. And you’ll probably wonder why it is so special. It is a journey that takes place in the dark. It’s called “Dialogue in the Dark”, and it will be held at the Institute for Blind People of Milan.

The tour will be totally in the dark and the guides are blind people. The journey offers a new way of “seeing” and perceiving. It focuses on our senses of touch, hearing, taste and smell. It is an intense and very special situation. When the tour finishes you’ll have a chance to have dinner and to get to know the flavours just by using our sense of taste and smell. In addition, you will have to touch many objects to try to recognize them with just your sense of touch.

This is something original and innovative that has emerged in many cities in the world: to have dinner in total darkness. But before eating anything, you’ll have an artistic tour to sharpen your sense of hearing. Those who have visited it say it is a unique experience whereby one is really able to “see” and “feel” the artwork, objects and the food flavours in a new and different way. Don’t be afraid of exploring new experiences!
